CityGirl Guide to…..London Living
I recently returned from my trip to London, wow what a blast we had from shopping in Selfridges to Cocktails at the Ritz and Tea at the Corinthia Hotel.
I simply love being around all that wealth and opportunity.
I have always believed that if you expose yourself to whatever you truly desire, in whatever way possible, you open the door to truly attract into your life what you would love, thus you begin to live the life you so deserve.
So try it CityGirls, even if it means just one cup of coffee in the best hotel in town, sit there enjoy it and immerse yourself in that energy, beauty and wealth. Energy always rubs off onto you so be aware of what type you are surrounding yourself with!
London Living VS La Dolce Vita…
So what did I notice on returning to the big City now that I have taken myself into a smaller City at a more relaxed pace in Italy?
Well, I realised one big difference between life in London’s fast lane and elsewhere….
Vitality is low in London!
Yep I said it but it is true, I know it now because I felt it, for real.
Don’t be disillusioned with all the buzz and the rush and the excitement, underneath it all people (myself included during my time there) are hardly enjoying or experiencing the energy and vitality they deserve.
Londoner’s you are hardly breathing and you don’t realise the effect this is having on your body!
Sure you get by, I mean we all get through the day it seems without any serious side effects but in the long run you are potentially damaging the true vitality within .
- Early ageing
- Increased belly fat
- Dependency on salt, sugar and caffeine simply to survive in the City.
Oh so you thought you didn’t have any addictions? You really do!
But that’s ok because this CityGirl has been through it all too.
So if you are on the go, rushing, stressed, angry, upset or simply just surviving life in any City day to day, it is time to up-level to the energy you deserve by becoming conscious of your breathing. Simple.
In through the nose and out through the nose or mouth, a little longer each time. (This is the key, becoming aware of the breath).
Try it on the tube, train, escalator, elevator, before a meeting or next time you are on the go.
It really is that easy.
According to world renowned holistic health practitioner Dr Issac Mathai (whom I had the pleasure of interviewing whilst in town) the top 3 things Londoners could do to enhance their vitality, energy and beauty are:
1– Become more conscious of your breath.
2– Eat siting down, slowly and more consciously. (The food itself should be wholesome but even if it’s not make it less “on the go” and more ” with the flow”)
3– Drink more water!
3 easy steps which I am certain can be applied to any CityGirl in any part of the world.
Much more effective and healthier than popping any pills, ensuring you have enough energy to shop ’til you drop, live a vital life and do what you love .
I wish I had followed this advice during all the years of my London living, I am pretty sure the CityGirl burn out would have been less and the palpitations would have stopped altogether!
