CityGirl Guide…..5 Radical Reasons Why You’re Often Sick
“Health comes of a happy heart” Ancient Egyptian Women Healers
I have long believed that You Create Your Own Reality.
I’ve seen too many miracles, healings and manifestations take place in my own life, through conscious thinking, to believe that we have no part to play in what is taking place around us and within us.
One thing I am truly amazed by is our ability to create a reality of vitality, illness, ease or dis-ease in the body.
This is not to say you are to blame for any illness or dis-ease created, blame would be to suggest that illness is wrong and guess what, it’s not!
The truth is that illness is something we often want to avoid or get rid of, you have most likely been taught to see it as your enemy, an idea we are bombarded with by very profitable pharmaceutical companies who insist we fight a war against illness and our body , with their drugs!
What if, instead, you learned to see illness as your best friend and your body as your kindest Teacher?
This new perception is ultimately what led to my own greatest healing after experiencing eating dis-orders, anxiety attacks and insomnia, to a name a few.
Your body is always trying to wake you up to the truth; it’s an amazing feedback system continually producing symptoms as evidence about how you are viewing the world around you.
Why would you not want to listen to it and learn?
It’s only a perception and a perception can be changed
Mostly our perceptions about life are distorted and instead of seeing the perfection of what we are experiencing, the duality of both sides of life, we get caught up in Anger, Blame and Criticism, constantly trying to change what is happening around us.
These “ABC’s of negativity “ , defined by Dr.John Demartini , coupled with an unrealistic expectation on life to provide you with a positive story at all times, are more toxic for your body than any food source will ever be.
So here are 5 Radical Reasons Why You Are Often Sick most of which I have personal experience of and some of which I’ve encountered after studying with some amazing Teachers in the Healing world.
1.You are punishing yourself.
One of the greatest ways you can punish yourself is by creating pain and experiencing it in your physical form. What have you done that is so wrong that you continue needing to punish yourself with illness? It’s time to forgive yourself and let it go.
2.You are avoiding something.
Often there are people, places or things you want to avoid but you don’t feel it is ok to do so or to say so. Instead you make yourself ill perhaps as a justification (that society will be ok with) so you don’t have to encounter that which you seek to avoid.
I am familiar with this one, my advice is if you can’t change your perception about the person, place or thing then have the courage to say goodbye to it, it’s literally making you ill!
3.You don’t believe you deserve great health and vitality.
What would having 100% vitality and health mean to you? And where did you learn that you don’t deserve it? Ultimately what you manifest in your life is proportionate to what you truly believe about yourself, it’s time to believe the truth of who you really are!
4.You are uncomfortable with saying No and/or you feel guilty about asking for what you desire.
When you suppress who you really are in order to please others, you live a life on eggshells, perhaps to keep the harmony, but this constant repression of your own voice, needs and desires leads to long term resentment and eventually burn-out.
Is it really worth the suffering and illness all because you may be afraid to ask for what you want or to say No?
5.You are feeding your Mind, Body and Spirit a mental diet of toxic thoughts mixed with a concoction of processed, chemical filled, un-natural foods.
A diet of processed, lifeless foods mixed with a mental diet of anger, shame and blame is however potentially to blame for your decreased vitality and ultimately will create illness in the body more than anything else.
Be mindful of what you eat and what you are thinking when you are eating.
