An ultra busy mind is one of the most energy draining experiences you can create for yourself.
“Brain noise” as I now call it, is the accumulation of multiple thoughts sometimes about the same thing, over and over again.
It’s literally all the noise built up in your head through anger, guilt, fear or simply because of an overwhelming amount of things to do and the perception that you don’t have enough time to do it all.
You know it’s time to detox your mind if:
- You can’t be here now; you are not present with the tasks in front of you or the people around you.
- You are waking up at night and thoughts are flooding in.
- You can’t think straight, assimilate information or remember things easily.
If the noise is allowed to continue for long enough you run the risk of:
- Decreased vitality and eventual illness, all illness starts in the mind!
- Anger and unexplained out -bursts both affecting your relationships.
- Business and financial burn out, clients and potentials won’t want your energy never mind your services!
(Don’t worry I’ve been through it all myself, it’s a natural part of being a successful but sometimes un-necessarily busy woman.)
In order to Detox Your Mind naturally, rather than reach for drugs, alcohol or sleeping pills as forms of escapism, it’s important to understand why the noise is there.
Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real.
After assisting clients in developing perspective so they can create greater results in their Work, Wealth and Well-being, I now realise that the biggest brain noise in all of us is caused by:
A. Guilt : For something you have said or done/not said or done in the past.
B. Fear : About some perceived thing that might (never) happen in the future.
C Excessive Busyness, : Because you choose to fill every moment of your day with “productive” activities and won’t take any time for yourself to slow down.

3 Simple Steps to Detox the Mind
1: Write it all out.
Just as you need to eliminate what you have eaten to prevent toxicity building up, so too do you need to begin eliminating what you are over thinking!
The fastest way to do this is to “mentally download” all the thoughts you are having onto paper , catagorize them and even burn them if you like. To categorize and become clear you could list the top 3 areas creating the most brain noise and get crystal clear on WHY this is happening.
Are you feeling guilty, fearful or are you simply filling your schedule with too much busyness?
2. Balance Your Perspective Woman!
Once you recognize which category you fall under its time to face it full on.
The fastest way to balance your perspective on any situation is to look for the other side of the situation . Find some positives to what you fear happening, find some blessings to what you think you shouldn’t have said or done to yourself or others.
We live in a world of duality where both sides exist, there is no negative without a simultaneous positive , no loss without a simultaneous gain so why waste your energy and vision on perceiving only one side of any aspect of life?
Ancient cultures practiced a mental detox by walking!
And because walking is a cross patterning movement, it actually electrifies the brain balancing your emotions very naturally.
It’s unlikely ancient cultures needed to detox their minds often, their lives were so much simpler than ours and they certainly were not caught up in doing, being and having more!
Walking assists “Brain Noise” caused by busyness too.
Use a morning walk to prioritize your actions and commitments for the day ahead.
Do not commit to anyone or anything that does not inspire you, put yourself first, banish the busyness and detox the mind for greater vitality!
