The Guide To Overcoming Challenge
I ‘m in need of peace right now for two reasons.
1) I’m at home with my parents in Northern Ireland.
2) Parents and Northern Ireland, need I say anymore?
Thankfully things are not so bad in this part of the world anymore but many people are still caught up in the challenges of the past.
Like on Monday when we took Francesco to visit Derry, one of the worst hit places during the 30 years of war here, and my Dad proudly spent the entire journey talking about the “olden days”, the challenges with the Brits and ending up in prison on a ship.
I was mortified.
Not only did this man collect me from school on a bike when I was a child and all my friends had fancy cars , but now he’s telling the man I hope to marry his whole history and involvement with civil rights!
I couldn’t stop my Dad from sharing though; so passionate is he when recounting the struggles, at a time when guns and bombs were rife.
Derry turned out to be pleasant surprise.
It’s a City using the past to its greatest advantage and in a very entrepreneurial way.
Looking at the bespoke shops offering a unique taste of local culture and seeing many tourists on walking tours of the City’s famous walls, steeped in a violent history, it got me thinking that as women entrepreneurs we can do two things with challenge:
1)Remain victims of it and our history
2) Become masters because of it and subsequently our destiny, using the challenge , struggle or enemy as fuel for purpose and success.
Here’s a guide to get you there.
1) Ask for help.
You don’t need to handle challenge alone, it can be daunting , and often simply voicing your concerns and asking for support , even from your challenger, can help.
Action: Practice asking for support in an empowered way as opposed to an aggressive or victimized energy .
Use this phrase: “Do you think that you could….” Then finish the sentence.
People mellow when they’re being asked of not demanded upon meaning less conflict for you.
2) Find the benefits to you and your business.
Growth happens in spurts and saying in lob sided perceptions that things are all “bad” will keep you stuck and ruin your biz .
Action: Find the other side by listing 25 benefits to you and your biz that you’re in a period of challenge .
For example if you’re all out of clients right now what are you gaining instead?
More time to refine your marketing? Or a flow of ideas and creativity to take you to the next step?
3)Stop blaming the enemy woman!
Blame is the lowest vibration, it’s an addiction and a blocking strategy that keeps you stuck.
Get over it and do the following: Use your enemies as fuel for the road and take action immediately!
Action: Write a hate letter, literally, to the challengers you perceive to have ruined you , get it all out on paper, get mad, get angry say it all then burn it.
This little spiritually savvy exercise will have you releasing more that you can know so your business can finally sky rocket and grow!
