The Guide To Creating Success In Business
This guide is based on the first 12 months of my business journey, what I did to go from zero to gold ,month by month and what you can do too.
1)Get into the pain and then ask a better question.
When I started seeing what others were doing and having as a result of becoming unstuck it first made me feel more stuck and then got me to ask a better question: How can I get financially unstuck and stop depending on my man to support me? What question can you ask to empower yourself now?
2) Hire someone you admire.
I decided to go to California in the second month, on borrowed cash, to work with Gina DeVee , a success coach and biz mentor who I admired and whom had got herself out of being financially and spiritually stuck and into a 7 Figure business. This leap of faith paid off when she guided me on how to package up my current expertise and sell it. Who will you hire today that you admire and that’s further ahead than you?
3) Offer yourself as a bonus.
I chose to align myself with some big cats doing similar things to me. I offered myself as a bonus to their programmes and showed them how my offers complimented theirs. In the end they chose me and more financial momentum was created. Who can you align yourself with for success?
4) Get in front of a live audience.
By month four I got more confident at what I was doing and was offered the opportunity to speak live to an audience in London. I went there on my own expense and instead of offering some big programme, I offered FREE Discovery Sessions and got to work with some exciting peeps. Where’s your ideal audience and how can you get in front of them today?
5) Do your own PR.
The Forbes Lists have always intrigued me; so when I noticed they had a list for best websites for women I made it my business and vision that they’d select and promote CityGirl Confidence. In Aug, my month five of business building, they did and more interest for Discovery Sessions came through. Where would you love to gain more visibility and global exposure?
6) Follow the haunch.
Cities call me and a repeated vision and haunch about Rome kept nudging me, so I created a one-day experience in the Eternal City. To my surprise clients wanted to come and ZEST magazine featured it kindly. What haunch are you suppressing today? Follow through no matter how crazy it sounds.
7) Prepare for success.
I re-engaged with my mentor in a one day intensive in Tuscany and at the same time booked a professional photo shoot for upcoming programmes, of course I didn’t know what they actually were yet but in energetically preparing for them I paved the way for more success. What are you preparing for success or failure?
Getting clearer on what would inspire me next led to some redefining before Christmas. Whilst others were launching amazing offers I was lying low and reading my two bibles: Grow rich while you sleep & Think and Grow Rich. What season are you really in right now? Is it time to refuel or time to launch? Be where you’re at and choose wisely.
9) Reinvent yourself.
Waking up Jan 1 most people had hangovers but I was ready to take action on launching the CityGirl Intensives USA which became clear to me whilst lying low right before Christmas. Where would you love to host your work?
10) Get some time alone (by shacking up at a penthouse).
I hosted the first intensives in London at the Savoy and then at The Beverly Hills Hotel, LA and finally at The Benjamin, NYC.
Giving myself bigger containers of time and going to these amazing spaces and cities has allowed me to expand my vision and step into an even bigger version of business. How will you choose to expand your income and brand?
11) Surround yourself with successful peeps.
Building a business is a personal development in progress, knowing I’ve still so much to learn I got myself into an elite Mastermind group hosted by my mentor and with fellow colleagues aiming for $35,000 p/m. Who are you surrounding yourself with today?
12) Review your steps and build on your success for consistent income time and again.
Just writing this has helped me log my progress and best steps over the last 12 months. I encourage you to make a note of what’s created (financial) success for you in the past and to actually repeat and build on those steps year after year.
If you’re just starting out in business or you’re 12 months in or more yet have no steady stream of clients nor consistent income , I invite you to join me in a complimentary Discovery Session below where we can explore best steps forward for you and your business and how a selected CityGirl programme can get you take off in your business once and for all.
