The Guide To Being Free
“Man must prepare for what he has asked for even when there isn’t the slightest sign of it in sight.” The Game Of Life.
I’m sitting in my local café having a breakfast of cappuccino and croissants filled with jam.
Just your normal Monday morning but with cause for greater celebration.
Usually on this Monday, at this time , year after year, I was starting back to school.
Returning to the dreaded hustle and bustle of London tubes, over crowded trains and then a day filled teaching French to teenage kids, most of whom didn’t want to learn.
Today life is very different .
Less noisy, less rushed and now very free.
All more visually beautiful .
The Puglian homes.
The sassy style.
The fabulous food.
And world famous wine.
Everything tastes and looks better when you’re finally doing what you love.
But no-one tells you that doing what you love requires more commitment than simply escaping your “death job”.
That’s the easy part.
Being on purpose demands you to prioritise you.
There’s no hiding either.
You now know what it feels like to be in your truth.
And when you’re not, you feel it too.
With that comes a great responsibility.
A responsibility to keep building upon what you’re here to do.
To keep up the momentum in your new found creativity or career.
Most of which you didn’t have to think about whilst you were surviving the rat race.
Perhaps that’s why many won’t leave the safety of their cubicle or the suffocating womb of a city classroom.
Sometimes I wonder if it would have worked out easier for me to have stayed there too?
Then on days like these I wake up free, writing in cafes surrounded by handsome Italians.
Sipping on real coffee and contemplating the creation of my next reality.
It’s all a creative game you see .
And when you play the game with unwavering attention on your true desires and align this with your deepest purpose you can’t not be free.
Ready for more freedom, creativity and success doing what you love in your career?
