5 Ways Every CityGirl Can Simplify Her Career
“Simplicity is the keynote to all true elegance” Chanel
I agree with Chanel, recently I’ve been learning the art of simplifying from a vocational perspective and it’s definitely enabled me to experience more elegance in how I work.
For a while I’d been hearing many people talk about doing business/working in an easy, graceful and simple way , the former two I felt I’d mastered, (having the name may have helped) but “simple” sounded just too good to be true.
As a former London CityGirl I still carry that powerful but complex essence within me, that means it’s easy for me to form a desire but just as easy for me to bash it to death with my masculine, complex , “doing” side!
Lately though I’ve been awakening and tapping into my Parisienne CityGirl style more, as a means to manifest my career desires in a relaxed, trustful and simple way.
(Think, deciding what you want over a slow café au lait on the cobbled streets of Paris, as opposed to rushing around in London with no time to think never mind sit down and actually decide).
So it has come as a great reward to me to have recently generated some amazing and elegant opportunities to do what I love, on a more global level, without as much effort as I’ve previously been accustomed to.
When you align with your mission, you’ll manifest at the speed of light.
How did I do it?
Essentially I let go of the “how” and got clear on the “why”.
That’s right, I lay in the sun and I thought about what I wanted to do and why.
I spent time seeing what I desired present in front of me and then when the time was right I tapped back into my London CityGirl and took some powerful action deep in the knowledge of why I was wanting to work in this particular way.
Well, I’m now off to Paris, NYC and then later Cape Town to do the work I love, I’ll be assisting people in creating career transformation, once and for all, not only that but I’ll be enjoying the delights these cities have to offer in the luxury of beautiful hotels and engaging my inner Parisienne CityGirl by indulging in the culinary specialties each city has to offer!
Now, I can hear you resist and rightly so…..
1) You’re stuck in a day job and don’t have the luxury of a beach nor time to take action to assist your vision.
2) Your days are so hectic that your vision is clouded and you’ve no idea what you really want yet concerning the next steps in your career.
3) You’re not even sure you deserve to have what it is you might like in terms of your work, wealth & wellbeing.
OK I hear you, I’ve been there too remember , I didn’t have the clarity on what I wanted nor the luxury of time and sunshine either whilst I was stuck in my 9-5 Teaching job, but I’ve still been able to transform, I even got out altogether and now look at me, jet setting CityGirl doing what I love.
You see there’s a powerful tool you do have that will assist you right now, this tool drives all manifestation of what you desire and allows access to your biggest why, I’m sure you’ve guessed it; this tool is your mind.
Simplifying your career starts with simplifying what’s going on in your mind.
You’re probably focusing your mind on the “How” of what you want instead of embracing your deepest “Why”.
This is anything but simple, it drains your energy and puts you down.
Luckily you have the power within you now to move your vision towards what you do want and to look at why you want it in that way, therefore enabling the Universe to focus on taking care of the hows.
If I’d have stuck to my “how” instead of “why” there’s no way I’d be getting to do what I love in this particular CityGirl style.
Here are some tips to enable you to simplify your Career today.
CityGirl Guide : 5 Ways Every CityGirl Can Simplify Her Career
1) Stick to transforming one thing at a time.
Choose to transform the most pressing thing for you now, often the impact of changing that big thing (the one that causes the most stress/brain noise) makes all other areas fall into place too.
Take some pen and paper and decide what you want to create next (in your career) and dedicate your time, energy, money and vision towards realising that.
2) Move your mind from the how to concentrate more on the why.
Follow these key questions to help you not only gain clarity but to also up level your vocational vibration so that you can begin to rapidly create what you’d love.
- Why is this transformation urgent for you to now?
- Why do you deserve this new opportunity?
- Why do you want to do work in this particular way?
- Why do you put your needs and desires last?……
3) Surround yourself with who and what you want to become.
Greater Health and Wealth is dependent on you doing work you love and experiencing an environment you enjoy.
If you’re not inspired by what and who you’re constantly around it’s time to spend less time there and with them!
Surround yourself with Movers and Shakers , sign up to their newsletters (I recommend one below ), take a class, go to a seminar, be inspired!
Do whatever it takes to let the Universe know you’re ready to create change in your career and beyond.
You’re probably taking on way too much right now for your boss or maybe your partner, this self-martyrship, is the opposite to self-leadership and really is the root of all low self-esteem, it affects not only your physical energy but is a major hindrance to your financial energy and potential.
Say “no” to at least 3 demands made on you this week and/or commit to 30-60mins per day just for you .
Get someone else to do the work while you enjoy some wine, you’ll soon experience the Universe moving you up the receiving line!
5)Clear the clutter.
If you want to go all out with professional purification once and for all, I recommend you de-clutter wherever you can.
Start with your desk, dump those papers, all that stuff you never get around too, has anyone actually noticed it’s not been done?
Go to your wardrobe and do the same, then your fridge, then your diary and if you’re upto it your body too.
When you get rid of the old you make way for the new, it’s simple!
What are the obstacles and struggles that prevent you from experiencing a simpler lifestyle and career?
