5 Ways To Revitalise Your Brand
Revitalise: “Give new life or vigor to”
That’s been needed lately, not only for my clients who are transforming their careers but also for myself!
Entrepreneurs and those on the path to career transformation are prone to becoming stagnant because they’re always focused on the “how” instead of considering the “style”.
The style is a much classier path.
In what style would you like to do business?
Through which style would you like to earn more money in less time?
These are key questions you won’t find answers to by sitting behind your computer comparing your business style to that of others on this path.
In my experience the solutions will come when you give yourself permission to Revitalise Your Brand.
Here are 5 key ways of doing exactly that , alongside some new shots & style that I’ve engaged in as a means to revitalising my own brand .
1)Bust through the money game.
A focus on money can make any brand stagnant.
Money is always a means to an end, but most people are focused on making the money ,instead of focusing on achieving the end result.
This blocks your financial flow and ability to have a vital brand where you can sell your service easily because making money is unlikely what lights you up fully.
You may think the cash is inspiring you but what’s really exciting you is what you’ll get to feel or experience as a result of that money.
Action: To revitalise your brand where money is concerned consider this- is your end result inspiring enough to bring in the amount of cash you’d love or are you in survivial mode trying to make cash to save your family, your dignity or other?
I encourage you to find an exciting purpose for that cash as opposed to a “need” and you’ll see it arriving more gracefully and rapidly revitalising your brand in the process.
2)Consider purpose not perfect
When things have to be perfect in your business you’re blocking purpose, missing opportunities and killing your brand. This is typical of London CityGirl behaviour, she’s the perfectionist in you.
Action : To revitalise you’ll need to get the focus off yourself and onto who you’re serving and why.
Remember no-one really cares what you do or what your methodology is, your clients care how good they’re going to be after working with you or investing in your product.
3) Style it up!
You are your brand , even if you’re working for someone else right now, so whatever is stagnant or chaotic in you will be reflected in your business/career.
In any case your brand is YOU no matter what you’re selling or who you’re hiding behind.
You’ve got to be feeling good in order to receive the clients, opportunity and attention your purpose deserves.
Action: Choose the one thing you’ve been tempted to do but have been putting off for fear of cost, time or rejection from others…..Do it this week, it’ll up-level your brand!
4)Delegate the crap
You’ll never have vitality in your brand if you’re doing tasks you don’t enjoy.
Here’s an exercise I ask some of my clients to complete in advance of working together:
Action: Log your tasks each day for 5 days (include household tasks too).
Mark each task out of 10 based on how vital you feel whilst doing it and after completing it. (1 being stagnant , 10 being vibrant.)
The body will always feedback the truth even if you don’t want to admit it and tiredness/ lethargy is a great symptom that you’re wasting your energy on crap you hate.
Review each task at the end of the 5 days and consider which ones scored lowest and who you can outsource these to, for example can you hire an assistant, a cleaner, encourage your partner or family to do it or invite someone who’d love to be supported by you to work out a fair exchange , for doing that task.
Commit to actually implementing this!
5) Change direction
To really revitalise your brand from the inside out you may require a change in direction.
Change can be scary , I know , especially if you’ve been used to a constant salary, a 9-5 or having repeat clients on your books, but nothing will make you feel more confident in your business than to actually consider refining or changing your direction altogether.
Action : Consider what skills, expertise and experience you’re not exploiting and what problem you could solve for your clients by adding these valuable resources to your existing business or rebranding yourself once and for all.
